You know how one says, “he’s a guy’s, guy” or “she’s a gal’s, gal”? Well, I'm an Artist’s, Artist.  I love the process, moving from inspiration, to concept, to creation.  And anyone brave enough to endeavor into the depths of their own creativity and share it with the world deserves respect.

I’ve always been surrounded by the arts – drawing, dance, literature, theatre, fashion, architecture, sculpture, painting. At university I studied the arts. I am self taught as well and I love learning.

I use my creation of art and conceptual design as a vehicle for exploration.  It’s an exploration of knowledge, beauty and understanding.  It’s an exploration of life.

I derive a tremendous amount of my inspiration from travel, culture and people. The exploration of foreign cultures is fascinating to me and I am lucky enough to have had many unique experiences.

Living in Paris, I was exposed to the profound beauty of the architecture, the elegance of the city, the way it breathes and it’s people.  Living in Paris moved me greatly.

Once, in the dawn hours in Ourrzazate, Morocco, I remember my surprise seeing the ground frost on the early morning desert floor, only to learn it was residual salt from an ocean that used to be.

Another wild and exciting time, I rode the Orient Express from Budapest to Istanbul on a two day journey. I watched my fellow travelers cram into the coach car in the wee hours of the morning. We stayed up all night.  They smoked cigarettes and played cards. I sat back and guessed at their stories.

My travels have deeply stirred my imagination from Nas Rocas, a tiny private island off the coast of Rio de Janeiro to historic Brugge Belgium; from the mountains of Guatemala to the Burj Al Arab in Dubai, perched in the lavish sky lounge, jutting out high above the Persian Gulf.  And just recently I bicycled from Bangkok, Thailand through Cambodia and into Vietnam, ending in Ho Chi Minh City, the city once known as Saigon.

The wondrous sights, sounds and smells of lustrous new and foreign places, the texture of familiar and unexpected landscapes, and the beauty of human diversity, all come together to propel the exploration of my life and the creation of my artwork.
